Coordinating transport for a group of 20 is one of the parts of trip planning that nobody enjoys. Some people are driving, some are taking the train, someone rents a car at the last minute, and inevitably somebody gets lost on the way.
We offer a private transfer service to solve exactly this problem. You tell us where and when, we get the group there.
What the service covers
We handle transfers from two points:
Girona airport (GRO) — Useful for groups flying in from other cities in Spain or from European destinations. Several low-cost carriers operate from Girona. The transfer from the airport to Can Micos takes around 20 minutes.
Sils train station — The closest station to Can Micos, approximately 5 km away. The R11 line connects Sils to Barcelona Sants with direct trains. If part of your group is coming by train, this avoids a taxi scramble at the station.
Coming from Barcelona? We recommend the local taxi service from Sils. They cover the full route from Barcelona and know the area well. Ask us for their contact details when you book — we work with them regularly and they’re used to handling large groups.
Who uses this service most
The transport service is most popular with:
- Groups flying in from another city or country
- Large groups where coordinating 4 or 5 separate cars adds too much complexity
- Guests celebrating a birthday or hen/stag weekend who’d rather not worry about driving back
- Corporate groups where the company is covering transport costs
- Groups where nobody wants to be the designated driver
It’s also used by guests who want a return transfer at the end of the stay — particularly on Sunday evenings when everyone is tired and the idea of driving back to Barcelona in Sunday traffic isn’t appealing.
How the service works
It depends on the size of the group. For smaller groups, we can often handle the transfer ourselves. For larger groups — which is most of our bookings — we recommend the local taxi service from Sils, which is just 5 km from Can Micos. They’re reliable, know the area well, and can handle multiple vehicles when needed.
Either way, contact us first and we’ll tell you what makes most sense for your group size and pick-up point. We’ll coordinate with the taxi service if needed so you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
